چکیده
This report described a 46-year man with the characteristic Computerized Tomography (CT) scan findings of Corona Virus Disease Infection 19 (COVID-19) who presented to hospital right ankle weakness three weeks after pneumonitis. He had been initially hospitalized, complaining fever, myalgia, cough, and dyspnea. Electromyogram (EMG) revealed obvious evidence increased insertional activity (IA) significant denervation potentials, including positive sharp waves (PSW) fibrillation particularly in dorsiflexor muscles. Moreover, no voluntary motor unit action potential (MUAP) was observed. Eventually, patient diagnosed severe axonal mononeuropathy CPN, which could be considered rare complication COVID-19.

متن کاملCase observation on the common peroneal nerve injury.
Peculiar anatomical features render the common peroneal nerve and its nutrient vessels particularly susceptible to damage in injuries about the knee. Sunderland (1968) observed that, at the knee, this nerve is apposed to the neck of the fibula by the attachments of the deep fascia. In this way not only is the nerve securely fixed at this site, but it is also angulated where it turns abruptly la...

متن کاملCompound Nerve Action Potential of Common Peroneal Nerve and Sural Nerve Action Potential in Common Peroneal Neuropathy
To enhance the accuracy for determining the precise localization, the findings of the compound nerve action potentials (CNAPs) of the common peroneal nerve (CPN) were investigated in patients with common peroneal mononeuropathy (CPM) in the knee, and the sural sensory nerve action potentials (SNAPs) were also analyzed. Twenty-five patients with CPM in the knee were retrospectively reviewed. The...
